Ava is a typical Border Collie, highly intelligent, highly active and ideal for flyball! She loves people and other dogs and loves learning.
She has attained her KC Good Citizen gold award.
Ava joined Life’s a Beach Flyball club in March 2024 and she absolutely loves it! she has quickly learnt to be a consistent Flyball team member.

As Ava’s owner is a full time carer and cannot attend events away from home, Ava is handled by Karen, an excellent trainer and handler.

Teylu is a border collie from Co Derry that should now be working the hills of a farm, however, she is scared of sheep🫣
She is ball obsessed and lives up to her kennel name ‘Teylu the tornado’.
She has been involved in Flyball from 11 months old.
It was the best decision we made to join the club, along with socialising with other dogs it has given her a purposeful outlet for her abundance of energy.

Roxy is a Working Cocker Spaniel, who like many spaniels occasionally listens to her owners!
Nicknamed “Roxy-roo” because she has too much energy and likes to bounce around all over the place.
Roxy’s love of Flyball started with her tennis ball obsession from a puppy, she started training at Life’s A Beach Flyball in September 2022

Woody is a brown and tan Working Cocker Spaniel, he is a handsome boy but can be naughty at times!
Woody is a little brown clown who always seems to be finding ways to annoy his big sister Roxy.
Woody started training at Life’s A Beach Flyball in November 2023. He enjoys Flyball and the interacting with all the other dogs.

Flossy the border collie came from a working sheep farm in Tavistock. She is typical of her breed and likes to have a job to do.
She is happy to be sent away, fetch balls, and to find toys that have been hidden. She loves long runs out.
Flossy started flyball in the autumn of 2022. It’s her favourite activity. She shows her enthusiasm from the moment she arrives and is exuberant the whole time she is training.

Oakley, otherwise known as ‘Goober’, is a border collie who is absolutely obsessed with balls. He seems to have an unlimited amount of energy when it comes to playing fetch and never knows when to call it a day. He has however mastered the art of finding a river, lake or muddiest puddle you can think of to lie down in to cool off.
Oakley has been part of the Life’s a Beach Flyball team since 2023 and has loved every moment of it. He has progressed well however still needs to work on his box turns in order to gain valuable seconds.

Buddy is a super sensitive border collie, a full brother to Oakley, and shares the same father as Billy and Timmy.
Buddy was written off by other trainers as too sensitive for high octane sport (Flyball !!), but the amazing training team at Life’s a Beach gave him the space and time (lot’s of time) he needed to learn to love his job.
Is he now straightforward? no!  Is he a superstar, absolutely!

Tim is a home bred working boarder collie he is a special boy as he was poorly when a puppy and wasn’t expected to reach a year old.
He is trained on sheep but prefers only the command ” come bye”
If he’s asked to go “Away” he gets upset and goes home !
He loves his flyball and gets very excited about it

Pasty is show line Golden Retriever and much like her genetics – she loves to put on a show for the crowd! Tennis balls and the beach are Pasty’s passions.
Pasty has many nick names such as Cookie, Pookle and her team name is Lightening (if you blink, you’ll miss her!)
Pasty has been part of the team since February 2023.

Echo is a Golden retriever and will often be found following Woody at training.
Echo’s name is quite apt as you’ll often hear her delicate voice for hours at training.
Flumpet, Eckie and Poppet are just a few of her nicknames.
She begun her Flyball training in October 2023 after watching her sister Pasty and feeling jealous she couldn’t join in the fun.
